Project:
Cocaine Awareness Campaign
Unique Perspectives launched the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Cocaine Awareness campaign. We are working closely with the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Local Drugs Task Force to create awareness about cocaine services in the area and the impact cocaine use has on individuals, families and the community. The campaign focuses on the physical and mental health effects while highlighting the implications cocaine use has on all areas of a person's life.
The campaign was launched with the Minister of State with responsibility for Irelands National Drugs Strategy, Mr John Curran T.D. on the 25th September.
The campaign is been carried out across some key targeted outdoor advertising formats which include local bus shelter ads, a 48 sheet billboard ad and trolley handlebar advertising in local shopping centres. To directly target the local community we are also running the awareness campaign through a local network of pubs which include branded beermats, posters & mirror stickers for the restrooms and through newsagents with branded sandwich bags. All creative for the campaign includes the 'Text HELP to 51500 to find out more' to give the local community a direct number to contact and giving them a confidential means in which to obtain the information.
